AION 2 System Requirements: Minimum, Recommended, 100 GB
Official minimum: Ryzen 5 2600 / i5-10500, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1050 Ti, 100 GB. Recommended: Ryzen 7 3700X / i7-11700, 16 GB, RTX 2070. Both tiers recommend an SSD.
The short version first.
Minimum: Windows 10/11 64-bit, AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel Core i5-10500, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti (4GB), DirectX 12, 100 GB free space.
Recommended: Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-11700, 16 GB RAM, RTX 2070 (8GB).
Both tiers say “SSD Recommended”. NC also adds a specific note: at 1080p, set the graphics preset to Very Low on minimum specs and Low on recommended.
Global is Windows only.

The table is taken word for word from the Steam store page’s spec fields, filled in by the publisher. That is the only first-party answer to this question. Third-party “can I run it” sites are fine as a cross-check but are not official sources, and this page does not cite their verdicts.
Two official requirements people miss
One: SSD appears in both tiers. Minimum and recommended both carry “SSD Recommended”. Not just the recommended tier. NC expects you to play on an SSD - this is not “it runs on a hard drive, just slowly”.
Two: NC gives preset instructions directly. Minimum asks for Very Low at 1080p; recommended asks for Low. In effect NC is saying: you will need to drop presets yourself. Do not set it once and forget it. A machine sitting exactly on minimum should not expect default settings to hold steady.
Reading it against your machine
Above recommended: run defaults or close to them. Shift attention to holding frame rate in crowds. Creators suggest at least raising view distance and max combat effects and pushing camera distance to far - those affect readability, not just looks.
Between minimum and recommended: start at the recommended preset, Low, then raise individual settings until frame rate stops being acceptable.
Exactly minimum: set Very Low as NC instructs. You can raise view distance a little on its own. Seeing targets earlier matters more in practice than resolution.
Below minimum: NC offers no supported downgrade path, and brute-forcing it with overclocks or very low resolution is not advisable. This is a seamless Unreal Engine 5 open world; the bottleneck is usually CPU and memory rather than GPU.
How much disk you need
NC lists 100 GB of available space in both tiers. That refers to the retail game.
There is one more reference point from the test period: creators measured the separate playtest app at roughly 82 GB. The two numbers are not the same thing - the test client and the game are two installs. Steam players had to uninstall the playtest app and download the retail client separately.
Leave headroom when installing. NC says “available space”, not “install size”, because extraction and future patches need room too.
Platform limits
Global is Windows only. On the Steam store page, Windows is true and both Mac and Linux are false.
Playing on Mac or Linux means a compatibility layer or a virtual machine. That is unsupported. NC has published nothing about it, including performance expectations.
